Hospital Cash Benefit
Overview
The Hospital Cash plan provides you with money if you are hospitalized. You will only need to answer some simple yes or no health questions. You can select a daily coverage amount of $25, $50, or $100. This plan can be purchased as a stand-alone policy or added as an option to a Simplified and Simplified Life Plus policy. The Hospital Cash plan ends at age 70 and it can be purchased by those 25 to 65.
Standard Benefits
Coverage
Coverage amounts can be $25, $50, or $100 for each full day of hospitalization. With ICU (Intensive Care Unit) hospitalization, your daily benefit is doubled for up to 30 days. You can receive your hospital benefit for up to 90 days for the same sickness or injury.
Intensive Care Benefit
For every full day that you spend in ICU (Intensive Care Unit), your Hospital Cash benefit is doubled, for a maximum of 30 days. The Intensive Care benefit is only payable for an injury or sickness if the ICU hospitalization occurs within 30 days of the date of the accident that caused the injury or sickness.
Payment Options
Premium payments may be made annually or monthly. All payments can be made through your bank account or credit card. There is an annual policy fee of $40.
